Our new home for 2011

After more than a year of wondering/worrying if this little theatre company of ours was going to end after Glass Menagerie, we’re pleased to announce a new season for AtG, thanks in large part to us finding a new home at the Midvale Main St. Theatre!

What happened to working at the Rose Wagner Center? First, they’re too expensive for a company that doesn’t have a non-profit status; second, they’re very difficult to book if you’re not one of their regular theatre companies; and third, we were told that they “didn’t need us.” Funny, in all of our time doing theatre there, we’ve always gotten good reports from the technical staff, we’ve never owed money when the show was over, and we’ve tolerated a lot of mis-schedulings and mis-communications (not something they can say about their regular theatre companies), but they don’t need us.

So, if they’re going to make it hard to rent their space both scheduling-wise and financially, and they don’t need our business, we’re happy to take it elsewhere, and the Midvale Main St. Theatre (7711 South Main Street, Midvale) is happy to have us!

We’re booked into the theatre for July, for The Tempest, directed by Beth Bruner, and October for Ten Times Two (that show JC and Bob are always talking about). So plan ahead and make a date to see AtG’s 2011 season at the Midvale Main St. Theatre!
